Complacency - By andrew collmus
Clearly, complacency is not a desired attitude for individual employees, work-teams, or organizations as a whole. This chapter will describe current research on conditions that lead to complacency at individual and group levels. Then, we will look at how complacency fits into performance, motivation, and commitment models, as well as a few other outcomes. Next, some tips and best-practices on how to deal with and proactively avoid complacency, followed by a brief summary. I will use examples from industry and my own personal experiences to tie these concepts to the real world.
